  • Concert Serenade by Fred A. Jewell for Wind Band
    ca.: 4:05 Min.
    Grade 3
    Arr.: Axel Antalis, Jean-Pierre Ricard

Frederick Alton Jewell (1875 - 1936) was a very productive musical composer who wrote over 100 marches. At the age of 16 Jewell ran away from home and joined the "Gentry Bros. Dog & Pony Circus Show" as an Euphonium player.

In 1918 he founded in Iowa his own music publishing company, was director of the high school band and was industrious composer of wind music.

Frederick Jewell died in 1936 at the age of 61 in Worthington.

Very nice harmonic as melodic set serenade, definitely an enrichment for your performance.
