  • 6/8 March by Johann Schrammel
    ca.: 3:20 Min.
    Grade 3
    Arr.: Achim Graf, Peter Welte

Johann Schrammel (1850-1893) was an Austrian composer and musician. Schrammel got his first musical lessons together with his brother through his father. Already in the last years of his military time, Schrammel was, so to speak, a privately freelance orchestral musician. In 1879 he founded the famous "Schrammelquartett". The quartet achieved great popularity with its way of playing popular Viennese music and thus became the founder of the "Schrammelmusik" named after him. In 1893 Johann died at the age of only 43 years.
