  The rhythm of Cha-Cha-Cha was invented between Enrique Jorrín, a Cuban composer and violinist, between 1948 and 1951. The new rhythm was very well received by the audience and inspired the dancers to a dance step, which complemented the basic step of the Mambo by a quick change.

  The Cha-Cha-Cha spread very quickly across the Cuban border. He became the fashion of the year 1955, supported by the legendary mambo and Cha-Cha-Cha orchestras.
