    Francisco Tárrega (1852 - 1909). The creation and operation of Tárregas represents a milestone for the development of guitar technology. He is regarded as the most profound guitarist and teacher of his epoch, as the founder of a new school, the so-called new Spanish guitar school.

    Tárrega expanded the guitar repertoire with numerous transcriptions, which until today are among the most successful and most played pieces of the concert programs. His compositions include numerous etudes and dances. Arrangements of individual works by J. S. Bach, Handel, Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin, Schubert etc.
