Choir / SATB Mixed Choir

Salve Regina

  • for mixed Choir SATB
    from Franz Liszt
    Arr.: Achim Graf, Peter Welte

Salve Regina, p. 66, is the musical setting of the hymn Salve Regina, which was composed in 1885 by Franz Liszt for SATB choir a cappella.

This is the only example of unaccompanied church music from Liszt's hand. It is also Liszt's last religious composition. Liszt had already composed an organ version of the song in two church hymns in 1877.
