  Ethelbert Nevin (1862-1901) composer and pianist was a gifted concert actor who composed classical pieces for orchestra and piano as well as folk songs. His most popular song, "The Rosary," sold 2.6 million copies around 1928, making him one of the "All-Time Bestsellers". He traveled the USA and Europe and played his compositions.
  
  Ethelbert Nevin was honored in 1940 with a US stamp and was recorded in the Hall of Fame of the songwriter.
