Yoshitomo wrote salon entertainment and orchestral music. A special focus in Yoshitomo's work were exotic clay paintings (Japanese lantern dance, Ceylon's tea gardens, Sakura-no Hana, etc.). Until the 1930s these were an integral part of the programs of spa and concert orchestras. This edition of the Japanese Latern Dance is one of the most beautiful of his compositions.
