    from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
    with critical report

Size DIN A4, spiral ring binding

For a long time nothing was known about the existence of the London sketchbook Leopold Mozart had written for his son Wolfgang, with the inscription "di Wolfgango Mozart / à Londra / 1764", even Kochel was unknown.

Leopold Mozart was with his two children Wolfgang and Marianne on concert tour in London, when he fell ill, and while he had to cure himself, Wolfgang wrote as an eight-year-old with, blunt pencil his compositions into the sketch book. Thus within a short time 43 pieces were created, of which the most beautiful ones were presented.

Often, there are signs of disagreement or help lines, and three pieces are completely broken. However, if the small works are compared with the preceding compositions by the small Mozart, musical content and richness of melodies are surprising.

The titles of the pieces are from the Kochelverzeichnis, Mozart himself had not named them. Since it is a sketch book, much is only fleeting and, for example, Incorrectly recorded and therefore not always easy to decipher.
