Accordion/Melodica

Valse Op. 64, Nr. 1

  • simplified edition with fingering
    by Frédéric Chopin
Arr.: Achim Graf / Peter Welte

published in September 1847 and is dedicated to Countess Delphine Potocka.

This waltz is not, contrary to what the title suggests, designed to be played in a minute. The piece is laid out at a rapid pace and very lively. However, too much hurry during the lecture will definitely ruin this enchanting miniature. With the title "Minute Waltz", Chopin was more likely to describe the term "capturing the moment". Chopin dedicated this waltz in February 1848 to Countess Delphine Potocka (vocals), at whose receptions he accompanied her on the piano.

This title is also available as an accordion edition based on the original text in Db major under the Order No. 16131 available
