  Blas Maria Colomer, studied in Valenzia, from 1851 in Paris with Antoine François Marmontel. He won the first prize for piano (1861) and Harmony (1863) of the Paris Conservatoire. He was a professor of piano and harmony.

  As a composer, he was a finalist in the opera competition of the French government, organized by Napoleon III. He also wrote an opera "The King of Thule" and composed several operettas, as well as concerts for piano and orchestra.
